Carers Worldwide

Registered Charity Number 1150214
Carers Worldwide is the only organisation working exclusively and strategically with unpaid family carers in low and middle income countries. We promote recognition of carers and draw attention to their needs amongst communities; local, national and international NGOs; service providers; academics; the corporate sector; and local and national Governments across India, Nepal and Bangladesh.
Across the globe, family carers are the force that works endlessly to support the most vulnerable in society. The contribution they make to the lives of their sick or disabled relatives and to society as a whole is immense. Yet the importance of the role they play and the impact it can have on their own lives is often ignored. We have developed the Carers Worldwide Model comprising of five core elements which together transform the holistic wellbeing of carers: Carers Support Groups; Health Services; Employment, Training and Education; Advocacy; and Respite and Short Breaks.

More about Carers Worldwide
Our first project began in India, working with just 250 carers in partnership with three local NGOS. Since then, we have worked on a total of 17 projects in India, Nepal and Bangladesh which to date have improved the lives of 13,164 carers, 13,349 people they care for and 52,656 family members.
Our vision is a world in which the needs of every carer are routinely met in order to achieve physical, emotional, economic and social wellbeing for each individual.
Your contributions can make a measurable difference to the lives of carers and their families.
£10 can support the health needs of 10 carers by providing access to high quality treatment
£25 provides nutritious food to 12 disabled children at one of our community caring centres
£50 means one carer can initiate a livelihood activity, lifting their family out of poverty
