Guide Dogs

Registered Charity Number 209617
The charity Guide Dogs exists to provide life-changing services to the 360,000 people who are registered blind or partially sighted, and the two million people in the UK living with sight loss. We are best known for our world-famous guide dogs, but our work now encompasses so much more. In recent years, we have expanded our services beyond our dogs to help thousands of people with vision impairments to lead confident, independent and fulfilling lives through our volunteer-led My Guide service, and our work with children and young people.
It costs more than £55,000 to support a guide dog from birth to retirement, and we’ve made a lifetime promise to provide every one of our guide dog owners with a guide dog for as long as they need one. So we rely on the generosity of people like you to ensure we can achieve our ambition of a future where every person with sight loss has the confidence and support to live their lives to the full. There are many ways you, your family, friends and colleagues can support Guide Dogs – you could hold a tea party, take part in a challenge event, become a volunteer or sponsor a guide dog puppy.
