Registered Charity Number 1011672
Honeypot Children's Charity enhances the lives of young carers aged 5-12 by providing annual residential respite breaks and on-going outreach support and is the only UK Charity offering these services to young carers of this age demographic. Honeypot breaks give the children time out from stressful responsibilities and adult surrogate roles at home where they are caring for a significant other, often for up to 30 hours a week.
Honeypot provides a safe and nurturing environment where children can develop to their full potential. Through informal play, educational SEAL (Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning) learning breaks and organised activities, Honeypot helps to reduce the social isolation felt by young carers and builds up their confidence and self-esteem.
Honeypot encourages young carers to have fun, make lifelong friends and develop the abilities and confidence that will enhance their educational and later their employment prospects.
