Shout is the UK’s only free, confidential, 24/7 mental health text support service, powered by charity Mental Health Innovations.

Every day we take up to 2,000 conversations with children, young people and adults who are struggling to cope. Every single minute, someone reaches out to Shout for support with a mental health crisis and has a conversation that could save their life. 

Our trained volunteers and Clinicians are there around the clock to support texters whenever they need us, listening without judgement, helping them become calm, with a safety plan in place and with signposting to further support where needed.

In Shout’s four years of existence, we’ve scaled our service to take more than 2 million conversations with 650,000 people who have needed immediate mental health support.
