Farms for City Children

Registered Charity Number 325120
Founded by Michael Morpurgo and his wife Clare at Nethercott House, Devon in 1976, our charity offers children from urban areas across the UK a one of a kind opportunity to live and work together on a real farm.
Each child is able to spend a week living and working together with other children to experience life on a farm in the heart of the countryside. They'll learn about food production, explore the great outside world and build and develop relationships with others.
We now have three working farms, where we welcome around 3,200 children and 400 teachers a year.
We want as many children as possible to have the experience of a week on one of our farms, so we fundraise to subsidise each child’s visit by more than half the true cost. We think that every child should be given the chance to experience what we offer.
We would love you to support us
